Where Google Pay still works for real-money deposits after the 2026 ban, how the flow runs, why the GPay button is vanishing from cashiers — and what to do about declines.
Google Pay can still fund casino deposits in 2026 because it is a UPI app: any cashier that accepts UPI accepts GPay. BlueChip, Parimatch and 4RaBet credited our GPay deposits in under a minute — but since the 1 May 2026 ban rules, branded GPay buttons are disappearing and declines are more common.

Since the PROG Act Rules took effect on 1 May 2026, facilitating payments for online money games is a criminal offence for Indian payment firms. Google Pay and the banks behind it now decline transactions they can identify as gaming, branded "GPay" buttons have largely vanished from cashiers, and deposits route through generic UPI requests with rotating merchant names. Players are not penalised, but expect more failed payments than last year. Background: the gaming ban explained.

Built for India: IPL promotions, Hindi-speaking support and UPI withdrawals that averaged nine hours across our three test cashouts.
Rajabets, Mostbet and Dafabet also accepted Google Pay through their plain UPI option in our tests — their cashiers just no longer show any GPay branding.
Google Pay is the purest UPI app of the big three: it holds no wallet balance, so every payment debits your bank account directly and every incoming rupee lands in the bank. Your GPay UPI ID ends in a partner-bank handle — @okaxis, @okhdfcbank, @okicici or @oksbi — and all four behave identically at a cashier; copy whichever ID your app shows (profile photo → your UPI IDs) rather than typing from memory.
The no-wallet design has a practical advantage at casinos: there is no "wrong balance" to fund by mistake, unlike Paytm, where first-timers regularly top up the prepaid wallet that cashiers cannot charge.
Three forces, all post-ban. The PROG Act makes payment facilitation for money games an offence, so Indian aggregators dropped gaming merchants — taking their branded checkout buttons with them. Google enforces its own gambling policy and lends no branding to grey-market flows. And offshore casinos now use rotating, unbranded merchant accounts that present as ordinary UPI collects, so honest cashiers just say "UPI".
Practical takeaway: no GPay logo does not mean GPay will not work. Pick the plain UPI option and approve the request inside Google Pay — in our June 2026 round that route succeeded at all nine sites on the main list, though several needed a second attempt.
Declines have roughly doubled since 1 May 2026 in our testing, and most are merchant-side risk filters, not your account. Work through these in order:
If money was debited but the balance stayed empty, do not pay again: failed UPI payments auto-reverse, usually within the hour. Keep the UTR number from GPay — live chat will ask for it. The full failure playbook is in our UPI deposit guide.
Payouts go to your bank account via UPI or IMPS — and because Google Pay displays that account's balance, the money is visible in GPay the moment it lands. Enter your UPI ID or account number + IFSC, complete KYC first (PAN plus address proof), and keep the account in your own name; third-party payouts are refused everywhere. The sites above paid us within 2–24 hours — per-site timings are on our UPI withdrawal time page, and platforms operating Indian TDS deduct 30% of net winnings first (TDS calculator).
All three ride the same NPCI rails, so speed, security and fees (none) are identical — pick the app already linked to your main bank account. GPay's edge is simplicity: no wallet and the cleanest intent flow on Android. PhonePe had marginally the best retry success rate in our tests; Paytm's wallet quirk trips up beginners. App choice matters far less than casino choice: start from the tested top list, read the legal guide for your state, and if you are depositing tiny amounts first — sensible in 2026 — our low minimum deposit page shows where small bankrolls go furthest.
Indian platforms must deduct 30% TDS on your net winnings under Section 194BA. Our free calculator shows the deduction and what actually lands in your bank.
BlueChip, Parimatch, 4RaBet and 10Cric credited our Google Pay deposits in under a minute in June 2026, via the plain UPI option where no GPay button was shown. Rajabets, Mostbet and Dafabet also work through generic UPI. Branded GPay buttons are increasingly rare since the May 2026 ban rules.
Since payment facilitation for online money games became an offence on 1 May 2026, Indian aggregators have dropped gaming merchants and their branded buttons with them. Choose the plain UPI option instead — Google Pay can approve any UPI request, and this route worked at every site we tested.
No. UPI is free for the payer, and none of the casinos in our list adds a deposit fee. The deductions to plan for are on the way out, not in: 30% TDS on net winnings at withdrawal, plus the operator-side 28% GST that gets priced into bonuses and odds.
The payment layer is standard UPI: your PIN and bank credentials never leave the app, and the casino only receives a confirmation. The real risk is the operator — offshore casinos carry no Indian consumer protection, so stick to sites with independently tested withdrawals and deposit small.
Indirectly, yes: casinos pay to your bank account via UPI or IMPS, and Google Pay shows that balance instantly. There is no GPay wallet to receive funds — so nothing gets stranded in a prepaid balance. Expect payouts within 2–24 hours at the listed sites once KYC is complete.
